RE: Service Plan Costs

My one is £33 a month and that was with £200+ left over from last car. A bit higher than I would have liked but that's life.

RE: Service Plan Costs

Lots of people going for 3 year deals, but it strikes me that if you are on a PCP deal or similar for 3 years then you should only be choosing a 2 year servicing deal. Why pay for the thrid service just when you are swapping to a new motor?

Ordered 17/2/12 Dynamic SD4 Auto 5dr, Mauritius Blue, Pan roof, 20" style 6 (gloss black), Vortex, Ebony Headlining, Ent Pack, Heated St. Wheel, Homelink, Pr Glass, Auto Dim r.view mirror, spare wheel

In my case I bought the car outright and intend to keep it for a minimum of four year, so will need at least three services.

Evoque Prestige SD4, Barolo Black contrast white roof, Ambiance Upholstery with Figured Macassar wood insert, Privecy glass, Lux Pack, 20" Style 6 Alloys, Spare Wheel. Ordered 10th March estimated completion date 6th July.

RE: Service Plan Costs

I opted for 4yrs service plan, as it is my intention to keep for 5 yrs, although knowing me that could change.

At least with these service plans you can amend or sell on.

Evoque No3: MY15 Dynamic Lux SD4, Auto, Santorini Black, Pimento Dynamic Plus Sports Seats, Ebony headlining, Pan Roof, Shadow Chrome Alloys.

I didn't know that. Makes more sense now, although will you be able to sell it on with the car or will it just make it easier to sell the car?

The Service desk explained all of this and pointed out how flexible this package was.

RE: Service Plan Costs

Just got a quote for 1st service. Sd4 auto. 399. Asked for a price match to 286. Best they could do was £328. Any thoughts?

Ring a couple of other dealers within a reasonable distance, see who's offering the best price (play them off against each other if you like), then say "Well you're a xx mile round trip for me, can you knock a bit more off to justify me coming all that way instead of using my local dealer?". Make sure you mention who your local dealer is (unless it's the same group!) as I've always found that makes them keen to score one over their competitor by winning your custom.

RE: Service Plan Costs

I would like to see an introduction of a fixed price in the brochure such as BMW and Audi do. For instance, if you pay£42 a month(£1512 over 3 yrs) on the Q5 you get 3 free services, 1st MOT freen and warranty extended to 5yrs.
BMW are better still, they charge £350 for 5 yrs servicing on it's X3 or £1380 for servicing and maitenance.
Much more professional than having to phone round different dealers as they all make up different prices. If Land Rover want to improve their image, they should have a consistent dealer experice, so you know that whever you go, you'll get the same level of service throughout their network
