Rear wiper speed

Is it me or is the intermittent speed of the rear wiper just way too fast?

I've noticed in all the wet and now salty conditions, even on a wet motorway the rear wiper doing it's half wipe wait half wipe action is just wiping far too often?

I always have the auto intermittent set to Max as that seems to work for the front wipers really well, does this effect the rear wiper speed? as it's almost unusable and I end up turning it on and off every time I want to wipe the rear window...

It needs to go at least half the number of wipes or less than currently.

No the front speed doesn't effect the rear. Although if the fronts are set to auto and wipe the rear will wipe as well
