Rear Hatch stops halfway on opening

my rear hatch stops halfway or a third of the way upon opening, have to push the open button again for it to fully open. closing has no problem

any fix for this? my dealer has no idea, and this has gotten worse over time since 3 years ago from random to everytime!

It sounds as if you need to reset it. There is a piece about how to do this in the manual.

Get the tailgate into the open position, you can push it gently to the top, pull it down just a little away from max open, then hold the close button for 15 secs.
