Question for drl conversion

Hey guys. Those who changed headlights to have drl (for those pure models with halogen), after converting what happens with the first flick of the switch for park lights? Since with the drl, the drl lights are always on, will switching the lever once do nothing? Or will it make the drl light brighter?
