Offroad with a Drone for spotting

First time offroading on my own with the Evoque and I had an idea, it probably has never been done before.

I had my Quad set up with a First Person View system on the trunk of the Evoque and figured it would be cool to have my wife drive it while i sit in the passenger seat flying the Drone through my Goggles with headtracking.

It was pretty surreal, tons of fun, i could fly anywhere around the car, see what's coming, give her directions on what to do, etc.

I can totally see this being something very useful for real offroading since you can spot obstacles outside the car with total freedom. Also it's great to have a birds eye view of where you are and where you want to go.

My system is low resolution and 2D, so it can't be used for serious purposes, but in the future I guarantee you guys this will be awesome.

Maybe it's something doable today with an HD system like the DJI Inspire 1.
