I need to complain about this and have the car looked at, any advice ?
Brake pads should always be replaced as an axle set. Should it turn out they have only replaced one side your braking will be uneven and possibly dangerous in an emergency stop situation.
I would get it checked quick by a properly qualified motor technician.
It seems some dealers are still living in the bad old Austin Rover days when they could get away with saying "They all do that mate" followed by wiping of nose on overall sleeve.
We have been fortunate that our dealer has always been helpful with the faults we have experienced and those are down to JLR for using cheap materials, slipshod assembly standards and launching a vehicle that has not been fully de-bugged.
