Is the Evoque really overpriced?

I was reading Autocar the other day and lots of people moaning about the cost of the Evoque. Not withstanding that you can probably get discount on the FL2 but using the latest price lists on the LR UK website:

2012 FL2 TD4 manual, non metalic, standard car : £33745 OTR
2012 RRE TD4 Pure manual, non metalic with tech and style packs, and pan roof : £33145 OTR

Same car, same engine, same specConfused:Confused:Confused:

Not sure the RRE look sso expensive after all

- Plus Pack (Agility Pimento/Ebony Oxford Leather)
- 20" Style 7 Alloy Wheels, Adaptive Bi-Xenon's with high beam assist, Aero Flip Spolier

RE: Is the Evoque really overpriced?

I think in the lower spec pure its fairly well priced, value gets less as you go up the range. We now live in a world where the list price of a diesel honda civic is over 26000.

RE: Is the Evoque really overpriced?

well make sure Autocar doesn't review prices in Australia... they may have a heartattack or two.

RE: Is the Evoque really overpriced?

It looks expensive on paper. Spent £43800 on mine. It doesn't feel overpriced when you own one!
