Have you tried eSure? They seemed ok to me and LR's own insurance was reasonable. The alternative is to move to a low risk area but by that point paying the insurance might be the easiest option although I thought Solihull was quite posh Smile

On order: Feb 2012 - Pure, 5 door, SD4 auto, Style 4 wheels, Front parking, fog lights, rear camera, spare wheel. Red Contrast roof, Ebony- final spec TBC

RE: How much will insurance be?!

My current insurer, has swapped my details, and has given me a refund, so paying nearly £50 per year less than my old 320cdi Merc.

I just changed from esure to swiftcover and went from an £850 renewell quote to £300 with swiftcover, same benefits etc etc - there is something seriousley wrong with the insurance market...

How much will insurance be?!

Best price I could get was £700 with Admiral (single car policy). A few things to watch out for.....

Admiral - I was told that even factory fitted options need to be listed as 'modifications' which will increase price

Land Rover - as per another thread on here, LR do not cover the panoramic roof under the glass section of the policy

Swift cover - watch out for the compulsory excess amounts (£300 vs £60 with Admiral). Reducing the voluntary to compensate will increase the price quite a bit

Also with swiftcover - watch out for the valuation of your car - it defaults to upto £30,000 with an Evoque, to change it added £50 to my permium - its not clear where to change it either!

RE: How much will insurance be?!

I also got some very good quotes from Swift Cover, but when notifying my current insurer they pointed the same issues re compulsory excess and car valuation. So stuck with my original insurer. No doubt Swift Cover are good value to some customers.

Don't forget that adding more drivers to your policy actually decreases the cost - that's just bizarre to me.

Delivered 15th May 2012, rejected and returned 4th Feb 2013 - SD4 5 door Prestige manual with a bucket full of rattles Mauritius Blue. Crazy Audi MY2020 RSQ3
