RE: Heated Steering Wheel Question

I use mine every day at present and turn it off after about a couple of miles as it gets too hotEmbarrassed.

Heated seat on level 3 is good enough to cook on, I cant go very far at that level, but can tolerate it on setting 1 all the way to work.

I know what you mean about the seats, I have to turn them off after a while. However the steering wheel just stays at a constant warm doesn't get any hotter.

Re: Heated Steering Wheel Question

Is the heated steering wheel standard or an optional extra? I want one either way!

Optional across the range in the UK I think.

RE: Heated Steering Wheel Question

Update......dealer called and said the module for the heated steering wheel is not working and needs replacement. She also said there are some open campaigns on my car and they will take care of it. I asked what those campaigns were but she didn't know off hand but will let me know once the car is done.

You're right it was the SARDS module replacement and module software update. Complete recall Q165. According to service dept, it's the satellite radio module.

BTW...got the car back tonight and the heated steering wheel works now....it's great......nice and toasty! Thumbs Up

RE: Heated Steering Wheel Question

OT, but when I saw that on the options list, I thought what a waste of money, and why the hell would I want to warm my steering wheel up? the leather wont get that cold surely?

but.... then this morning, -4 outside, driving with one hand on the wheel and the other sitting on the heater vent I finally see the benefit! lol
Its not necessarily because the 'wheel is cold', more that on mornings like today I need to warm my hands up quicker!

Will now have to contemplate if this is something I want to add, or whether I save it for a retrofit at a later date.

Ordered: Fuji Dynamic Lux Coupe / style 7 wheels / Privacy glass / adaptive xenons / something else which I've forgotton.
Should be end of April (was March, then April, then end of May/June).
