Heated Front Screen

I'm taking the car out fairly early in the mornings now to run my wife into work.

Mornings are cooler now and the sun is low in the sky.

Used the front windscreen heater, it works a treat, probably going to get a lot of use out of it.

Driving with the sun low in the sky I noticed a rainbow effect across the whole of the screen, it only happens when the car is pointing at a certain angle to the sun. Anyone else noticed this?

As far as the little wire elements go, I don't have a problem with them when they become visible as I tend to focus beyond them.

RE: Heated Front Screen

Something to get used to in the low sun I'm afraid. The filaments act as a diffraction grating hence the rainbow effect.
