retro fitting power tailgate

Well the bits have arrived. Looks very well made. Lots of small looms in the kit, but overall I'm happy with it. I'll let you know how easy it is to fit once I manage to get the car from the Mrs for a day

Instalation was easy. The only bit I strugled with was getting the lom from the body into the bootlid. I couldn't get it through the big gromit so it's cable tied neatly to tyhe side of it. Apart from that it was really easy and plug and play.
Hardest part was getting your head around pulling all the panels off. Took best part of a day but that is because I fited the hardware and hung the looms quickly to prove it all worked before I routed the looms correctly. Didn't want to fit it all and then have to strip it out when it didn't work. I should of had more confidence in the kit and my ability.

The £805 was for gen bits. I went the Chinese route and it was about 1/2 that price. For me it was worth every penny.

Hi MarkW, can you provide some more detail as to where the control module plugs into to get power?
