Fitting the Cargo Barrier
My Cargo Barrier arrived last week so I duly set aside an hour to fit it...however, after taking a brief look at the instruction, I rang Stratstone, booked the car in, and went down the pub!
On arrival at Stratstone the following day, I handed over the keys, got myself a coffee, had a look at a Defender, and took a set in the waiting area. 15 minutes later, the service guy came out with an apology...an hour wasn't going to be enough and the car would need to be booked in for a day to allow enough time! They think it will take about 5hrs...it took them 7.5hrs to fit one for Zara Phillips (guess they took a bit more care with hers than they will with mine!).
Fair play to Stratstone, I've not really been a fan in the past, but they have offered to do the work for the cost of an hours labour, and they were very apologetic.
So, if you are thinking of ordering a Cargo Barrier (full height) and are thinking of fitting it yourself, unless you are very handy, you may want to think again!
Right, off to the pub again.
