Possible, have not put much thought into the parking brakes . Yes I do rely on the auto release all the time, but I dont pull away too quick.Rolling Eyes

Faulty Brake recall

I noticed this too and thought it strange. Washed the car for the first time last weekend when she was a week old and both rear wheels covered in brake dust but not the fronts

Hi, I just might have an Evoque built around or on that date. Is it a big job to register with Topix? .....would like to find out if mine is affected. Do I simply need the VIN number?

SD4 Prestige Lux 5 door auto, Havana/Tan, Style 7 alloys, tow kit, spare wheel, high-beam assist, etc ..Arrived June 2012

very simple to register on topix - don't even need your VIN to register only to look up your car and you need the last bit starting VA.......

RE: Faulty Brake recall

Mine has been recalled......

if this has caused excessive wear on the rear brake pads where do I stand? Could I ask to inspect them?

I have better things to do than go to the LR garage on xmas eve...

RE: Faulty Brake recall

THANKS for the tips about Topix, I verified my build date is not June 11 (I'm April 21)....

so no brake recall, but it does show an ECM reflash due (same thing the stealer told me when I called)

RE: Faulty Brake recall

I've owned many cars but the Evoque has the most brake dust of any car I have ever owned. Love the car though. Will replace the pads when needed with a lower dust alternative. Not a big deal..
