My only worry with spraying the nuts is that the paint would chip the first time you tightened them up, which might look worse than just leaving them silver.

should be ok use a plastic sleeve on your wheelbrace
Had a Pure TD4, Fuji White - now have Dynamic SD4, Fuji White 9 Speed auto with Verve Interior - let the new project begin!
