Disable reversing camera

My 2016 Evoque has a factory fitted reversing camera which has developed a fault, I have tried everything including a replacement camera but I still get a camera error message. I've already spent more than I should have trying to get it sorted and I'm quite happy with the sensors. Is there any way I can disable the notification perhaps by telling the system that a reversing camera isn't installed? I know I can clear the error by pressing OK when the car is started but it would be good not to have to do this every time.
