Black Alloy Wheel Paint

Hi Folks

My wife's Evoque wheels have minor kerb rubs which hasn't damaged enough to warrant a refurb (still smooth), but is showing some bare alloy. I'm sure in time my wife will remove more paint, but for now I'd just like to touch them up.

Does anyone know the correct paint code or can recommend a particular paint to touch up?

I'm doing this as well one or two rock chips on mine I was just going to go with gloss black as it will be hard to tell its not a correct shade for only a few small marks

Would you just go for the gloss black direct on the wheel, or would it be worth a special metal primer first? I know its just a touch up, but I'm thinking the gloss might not adhere well to the alloy?

Touch ups sticks are usually thick enough to not need a primer, just get it as clean as possible first (wipe with IPA or a degreaser if you have it) and build up in layers if you need a couple of coats.

RE: Black Alloy Wheel Paint

I believe the official colour for black wheels, trim etc is Narvik Black. Well it is for my 2015 Evoque anyway Smile
