Remote key not responding

This happened today after vehicle not started for a few days as we were awaiting a replacement for a malfunctioning rear lamp. Had to use manual key blade which activated the alarm. On entering the car tried starting it which it did but the mirrors were still in the parked position and would not lock. Removed fuse 17 in passenger footwell for a couple of minutes and replaced it. The remote worked as normal locking and unlocking with the mirrors back to normal operation also.
