Differential lost oil after being replaced, now Haldex is gone as well
Hi,
about 4 weeks ago I noticed that there is some kind of jerk going through my evoque when I switched gears, especially from park to drive.
The garage changed my differential and the problem was gone.
Now, about 4 weeks later, the differential lost its oil and at the same time a very bad noise appeared while driving.
I stopped driving and let the car be towed to a different land rover dealer as the one that changed the diff was 400km away.
So this second dealer now says that the diff is gone again and also the haldex needs to be replaced.
Land Rover will replace the diff according to their parts warranty policy (my car is out of warranty already), but they say I have to pay for the haldex.
They say the haldex might have been damaged before and the problem is not related to the diff loosing its oil.
As the haldex broke the same moment that the diff lost its oil, I cannot really believe that those are not related...

The haldex was probably the cause of the failed diff. but you'd have thought they would have checked all that when they did it.
