26th March delivery date!

My original pre-production ETA was "sometime in March 2012", in December I was provided a "we are on track for week begining 26th March" for delivary... latest is "buold will be sometime around the 26thth March" ....

Have asked Nick@LR to look into it and given her full permission to spech to the dealer to obtain relevant info....... still no word on any progress or anything else .... totally disallusuioned with this "Premium Brand" ...

Well its now four fulll weeks since i heard from our dealer. Think i might get on to them tomorrow for an update. Thing is, should i have to get onto them?

No you shouldn't, but it is the only way you will find anything out.

Emailed this morning, very prompt reply from dealer. (should i have needed to email them though?)

Build showing 23rd March delivery to dealer on 10th April.

I would love it if it could come forward a bit though. Getting the car on 28/29/30 March would be ideal for me. I have now totally given up hope of getting the car before i go on holiday on 20th March.

I think they quote the longest time and if anything it will come forward a bit. My dealer has given me a build date of 16 March but said he really does expect this to come forward, as long as we have it before the end of March I will be satisfied, kind of

Mine's supposed to be going into build at the beginning of March. Should get the VIN number and be able to track then - still hoping for delivery March 26th!

In the mean time, and doing complex swap deals with cars... Am selling my FL2 in a private cash + Honda Jazz deal. The Honda Jazz is then going to my mum in a cash + Ford KA convertible deal, and I'm left with a spanking evoque and a ford ka conv. Think the ka should sell private with the spring around the corner!

Ed, according to nick@lr mine is also due at "Scrapstone" on the 10th .... Coincidence ? Maybe we'll even get the same freebeez ...

She promised me something if delivery goes past 26th March. I do however expect we will get feck all in the way of freebies.

Im with you on that, its highly unlikely that they would have 2 key-rings in stock on the same day.....

Had a call from the dealer today to say that mine is built, and is being delivered to the dealer next week! So, from being told March 26th delivery, to then being told March 26th is the build date and delivery will be in April, it's now early!

So - good news! Problem is the detailer I was going to use for new vehicle prep in ceramishield can't do it cos he's booked out. Need to see if I can find someone in Lincoln who can slot me in.

Going to also have all the usual products being sold to me - gap insurance?, tyres and alloys insurance? supaguard? finance?

Some ringing around required tomorrow for bargaining ammo, unless any of you guys have some opinions or good/bad experiences.

Any detailers near Lincoln fancy quoting me for a detailing job late this week / early next week?

Getting close now - had 3 new cars in the past, all company cars, delivered on the back of a truck, with the keys chucked in my general direction and never collected a new car from the dealers - hoping its going to be a good experience.
