12v Accessory charger (console)

Mine appears to have stopped working (ie carrying a charge)

It's doing wonders for my smoking habit Tongue Out but as it's only ever used to charge USB devices, it's a PITA. I just checked a couple of little USB plug and that work a treat in the boot socket but are dead when in the console. So I know it's not the device charger but the socket

Has anyone come across this and is it a simple fix .

Thanks
Still loving the car...

RE: 12v Accessory charger (console)

Hi,
I have the same problem. Picked up my autobiography 1 week ago and the cigarette thing/ charging outlet in the console in fron of the stowage box simply has no current. The outlet by the usb is working however.
Anyone knows if the outlet I'm taking about is disabled somehow?

Are they still disabled with the ignition on?

Yeah, this might be it. In the LR car's I've had, the 12V plug only gives power while the engine is running and for a few minutes after it's shut off.

Thanks, but I was referring to when I am driving the car and when the engine is running. That outlet is not firing up and I have to use the second outlet in the armrest compartment.

Ok then. So you'll need to go back to the dealer and have them sort it out for you, along with anything else that isn't working...

There is a 12v outlet in the armrest - I use that continuously to charge my phone when the car is running. The one in the boot I occasionally run a cool box from. Is that one working?

Sounds like a dealer job if the one in the armrest isn't working.
