I have an eD4 and it fits my needs perfectly. i don't take it off road and use if for city and motorway driving. I haven't driven any other Evoques so can not compare it, although only having 2 wheel ...

They are heated, i think they might come on when you put the rear window heater on, thats when i have seen mine work anyway.

Yes it locks even if the smart key is in the car, i have heard it lock when i have been sat in car with the engine off. Im guessing you must have to leave the ignition on if you are being recovered?

From Newcastle to Sunderland i get it at 50 mpg, its a 25 mile trip i was a little surprised to get that. got 2000 on the clock at the min. I have a eD4 Pure and use cruise control as often as i can...

I have it too, i think the manual said its to indicate the alarm is active, if you haven't got an alarm its probably the immobiliser or to make it look like there is an alarm.
