It's probably some clips that have broken behind the facia of the A-pillars, I would ask your dealer to check..... I had mine replaced a few months ago, and it solved the problem.

According to the spec in the brochure start/stop is only standard on the ed4 and td4 and optional on the sd4. Mine has never turned off, so I assume I haven't got it...
