I have ordered this, as was sickof travelling a road that wasn't there... But be careful these maps are only updated to 2014 Third Quarter.

1. How do we know which version of maps we are running and 2. Is this a single use item - if, for example, someone had two Evoques, could it be used in both of them?

I order for my NA 2015 pure plus built in april and I needed if you already have it will display that you already have.
and you will be able to return the USB dongle PS took 2hs 40 min to complete.
And also is vehicle specific, when you order you have to have you VIN #. and a code is generated.

Its locked to a VIN so can only use it once I believe, you have to authorise it after purchase to your car.

Q:How long will it take to download the map data?
The complete download process may take up to 2.5 hours dependent on the amount of information in the map region download.
As the system will shut down after 10mins, does this mean You will have to drive around for 2 1/2hrs Phil ?

I left my car running, but you can shut your car down and leave the USB plugged, when you restart the car it will continue automatically.
Your phone and audio won't work until finishes.

I noticed with UK page the year on the dropdown only goes to 2014 in the NA goes to 2015. I think the UK version might not be ready yet.

Yeah i'll be f'ing annoyed if they bring an update out just after purchase...
Doug, haven't applied it yet, but it says it will pick up where it left off when you restart.
It's going to be an XMAS pressie, so wont do it tlll then! Couldn't bring myself to pay for something that should be free at least for a few years.

Forgive the dumb question here, but won't a dealer update the map definitions for you if you ask them to?
When I took my test drive, the guy said "it's free, but you have to ask".
I realise the dealer update would probably only cover the UK.

I doubt if dealers would update maps for the life of the cars with expectation of the computer software updates.
@ least here in US once you drive the car out the lot it is yours.
And why would they sale online up to 2015.
just a thought.
