Hi,
In fact the light units I fitted are original RR Evoque Xenons with signature light, but NON Adaptive.
As far as I could see they were probably produced in 2012.
As I mentioned before,to my great surprise they worked like standard Evoque Xenons. This was confirmed to me by the seller, although I received later on different info from my local RR mechanic.

Must say the Xenon light itself works the same way as the Halogen with concern to level device and dim control.
Both use a single bulb and the beam is controlled by a kind of flap, you clearly hear a clicking noise when switching to up and down position.
Unfortunately my car has no power wash, what as far as I have been informed is more or less nonsense, but a legal requirement in SOME countries. Rain X is in many cases producing the same if not a better result.

I just checked the label on the units, indicating HID LH or RH EU.
They show a quite strange light pattern, very wide and you would not need any fog lights or adaptive.

I have the washers.

You have the modification of Drews Garage Kugaman??

No, no modification.

I changed the HID bulbs to halogen bulbs. This lets me have signature DRLs but halogen lights that work without giving any problems.

I may investigate getting the HIDs to work in the summer time once the weather warms up!

hello all,
I'm new here.
I try to find out some answers before purchasing xenon head lights.
To explain my situation,
i have a pure evoque with tech pack and visibility pack with a halogen heads lights and i want to change it for xenons heads light with led signature. My car was built at the end of 2011.
In france, all said to me it was impossible.
But when i search into the forum many of yours have made the upgrade so i wanna try .
My questions are:
do you know someone upgrading my head lights?
Do i have tu buy Xenons heads lights and just switch?
With the new xenon heads lights, do i have change for my old bulbs or keep the xenons, do i have to buy an HID kit?
Is it just a plug and play system or do i have to change the wiring connectors?
Sorry if you answered to these questions before.
Sorry for bullshits according to my basic english, but i try to progress... Wink
best regards

Jimmy - fit the lights and get your configuration file changed to tell car HIDs (Xenons) are fitted and you're sorted. You will need a mechanic with a suitable tool for making the change such as Autologic, Gap IID etc.

thx i gonna try. But, what do you mean about suitcase tool?
can y make it with just a general suitcase tool or only on a mechanic land rover center?
the files are present in the rom of my car or do i have to upload files in it?
regards

i 'm waiting for my head lights. They look soooooo nice. they are HID EU LH and RH whiteout the "AFS".

You need a Land Rover specific tool, configuration file will be currently set for Halogen lights and will need changed to Xenons. LR dealer or independent LR specialist will have necessary programming tool to do this for you.
