Resetting message 'smart key battery low' dashboard on evoque - Big G - 24-12-2014 06:53pm

Merrry Xmas !!

Got a message stating the smart key battery is low on the dashboard. Went out got brand new duracell
battery and fitted out of pack. However warning is still displayed on the dash.

Just wondering if this is a fault or how I can reset it?

I would recommend a main dealer battery. I had mine replaced and the message cleared. Thumbs Up

Hi Big G!,
I've read that on some cars it can happen, even if the replacement battery is 100% quality made like Duracell.
You'll probably need to clear it via OBD at your local dealer!

See you!,

I believe its a fault. I had the same alert. When I used my second key fob with its stronger battery the alert went away. My car is on warranty and the service desk replaced the weak battery in a couple minutes (no charge.) Using this fob with the new battery there was no alert. Nothing needed to be reset.
