2014 OEM Tires? - HeartbreakRidge - 07-01-2014 05:15am

In another RR forum, a new 2014 Prestige owner reported that the tires were not all season, they were Continental CrossContact UHP summer tires, 235/55R19.

That kind of took me aback. Based on my reading/poking around the past few months, I *thought* that the 19 inch OEM tire (at least on the Pure/Pure Plus) were all season tires & it was the 20 inch OEM tire that was summer. In poking around, I don't find anything (other than Tire Rack) that is definitive, and forum searches kind of go both ways.

Can anyone else chime in? Was I correct (but no longer), or was I wrong, or is something else going on?

you are correct. the only all-season tires are the Pirelli Scorpion which some had as OEM tires

well it is curious, because the Prestige owner posted up pics of the tires, which proclaim them as Continental CrossContact UHP but *also* they are M&S stamped (mud & snow). If you go to the Continental website, there is a CrossContact UHP (summer/high performance, not M&S rated) and a CrossContact LX (which *is* M&S rated) - yet the tires on his Prestige say both.

Question

I have All season Cross Contacts on my 2013 Pure Plus. They don't sell Evoques here in New England with summer tires.

I would think not! The Prestige owner is from MN, that is part of what raised my eyebrows.
