Ah but how do you do it if the battery is flat and you can't push start as there is no power ?

Remember brake assist doesn't work without engine running so be prepared to put some pressure on the brake pedal, or re apply parking brake

I recently had to use this procedure and if I remember correctly, I read somewhere that the car will automatically go out of N after 10 minutes.

I was also unable to unlock the steering wheel... But that might just be me...
