in the manual there is a way to shift it in neutral manual without the car running. its not easy to get to but if a tow truck was there

Theres two ways Rein one is if the vehicle has power the other is if the battery is dead. I believe it is under the airbox there a switch that needs to be turned

Rein, your procedure is correct but if I switch off the car it goes back into P mode, so it is useless. I need the car in N while is switched off.

Ah, now I understand. I thought you guys meant engine off by turned off.
What was I thinking Smile

Edit: I went trough the owners manual but there is no procedure described of how to put the vehicle in N without the battery. I'll try to find it somewhere else as the described procedure with ignition on is also not in the users manual.

DPF is at fault, it would suggest that he only drives short distances and is now blocked!

Could be they need a new one, not cheap. He needs to visit a Land Rover dealer.

Might be worth trying a long fast motorway drive to clear it out.
