I noticed that yts looking through some earlier posts thanks, well done, i'm hoping to have a few quotes in hand when sorting out the car, I also notice kam100 posted they will defer the start date because of insurance covering it to start with which sounds interesting.

@ Kam100. This looks like trading to me. Have you cleared it with Martin?

Kam100's price was excellent for £20000 cover (£169). But I managed to beat my dealer down from £799 to £256 and it is unlimited and thiers is through AXA so Underwritten by a more well known underwriter, I couldn't find much info about the underwriters of Kam100's.

Well done PhilSkill. Mine too is the LR approved AXA policy but limited to 20K over 3 years, which in effect means that the Evoque would have to be worth less than 50% of its purchase value at the end of it's three years. Eventually got them down to £200.00 on a "take it or leave it" offer.

Our policies are underwritten by: http://www.igi.co.uk/about.aspx
One of the biggest GAP providers in the UK.

We have been using them since 2006, and have never had any issues with GAP Case payouts..

RE: Gap Insurance - Louie - 31-12-2011 07:12pm

I recently scoured the Internet for GAP Insurance based on a three year Contract hire basis.

Having found the cheapest i went back to ALA who had provided me with cover on my previous car and appear to provide all the cover that i need. They were also recommended by the Company that organised my last two cars.

They covered me for a three year period (albeit the Insurance company covers the first year replace as new) for a vehicle value of £33500 with cover for £20,000 over the 3 years for £100. They offer to beat any comparative quote by 20% of the difference.

Worth a visit.

I've been looking at Ala but they are coming in at £169 - how did you get it for £100?

Thanks

WB, i got a quote from GAP123 who i found were the cheapest at £109 and then rang ALA advising them of the cheaper price, they checked the cover was the same and then beat the GAP123 quote (but it was a rouse to get ALA down).

Try it see what happens.

kam

Would you quote for a period longer than 3 years? I can only obtain a 3 year quote on your website.
