what are the widest tyres you can have with 19" alloys?

not sure, but it will start looking odd going bigger than 255. the 255 is already ballooning out more than the stock 235.

The General Grabber AT isn't listed on generaltire.eu as available in 235/55 R19, but it seems to be for sale in that size at tyres-pneus-online.co.uk and mytyres.co.uk

I see the Load Index is only 101. The Conti 235/55 R19 is 103. Not sure if that would be a problem?

101 is 825kg ... per tyre I presume... I'm sure the Evoque doesn't weigh 3300kg.

No idea if that's how the "load index" is supposed to be interpreted though.

Okay, it looks like 101 load index should be ok:

"A tyre's load multiplied by 2 must cover the gross single axle load of your vehicle."

101 = 825kg

From evoque manual: max front axle load = 1300kg; max rear axle load = 1145kg

ave,

good to see that you finanly got them and that you're happy with them.
like you i'm running mine on 2,4 bar all around, even offroad, mainly because i'm affraid of the rim.

took mine for a couple of days into the alps. monte jafferau, assietta, coll sommeiller and the like.
by now i'm even more impressed with these tires, cause we really had to mistreat them, and they didn't gave up...

(second vehicle was a G-Wagen on BFG MT's. sometimes it was difficult to keep up, but the G had not to pull out the evoque only once!)
