Land Rover Assist rectifies ECO start Stop fault - Griff449 - 20-09-2012 07:01pm

Well having encountered an ECO Start Stop fault on the car it was time to call in the cavalry Very Happy

The ECO function was inoperative at standstill and the button remained unlit. If pressed a fault message 'ECO Start Stop Fault' was displayed in the driver message centre.

Called out Landrover Assistance and they arrived (They x 2 DISCOS) within 40 minutes!!!! Surprised

Diangostics carried out and the fault identified as a problem with the clutch. Having taken out the trim around the pedal area the guys found that the clutch pedal switch had not been properly fitted and was loose hence a bad connection. They cleaned it with contact spray refitted snugly and hey presto ECO now works. Road test and no issues.

Job well done so if anyone is experiencing similar issues it may well be a loose fitting switch.

Top job by LR assist Very Happy

You only got two Discos to attend because they knew about and wanted to see your mods.

Good to see they know what they are looking for though, well done LRA.

They had sent two Evoques but one had keyless entry and a dead battery so wouldn't start and the other was delayed as he couldn't get his iPhone on iOS 6 to play music via Bluetooth ! Laughing

I think you should of pinched those red hazard stripes from the rear of those disco's and put them onto your bonnet and tailgate to match your red brake calipers..Idea Laughing
