Audio and phone wheel controls no working (Most of the time) - Uthermx - 17-09-2012 11:02pm

Hi, has anyone had this problem, volume, last, next, mode and phone buttons work occasoinaly. The buttons on the dashboard work fine but only some of the time (or on some songs), I'm thinking this is a software thing, I thought it was my iphone but Ive tried other phones and the same thing happens, I would say it was the phone, but the "mode" button also only works from time to time or pressing it continuosly until ith chages input, same with volume...

Any comment guys?

Thnx

If Volume and Mode only work intermittently sounds like a physical fault.

If you simply hold volume does it just do nothing or sometimes jump in volume in erratic lumps, rather than increase smoothly? Does the volume display come up when you press up or down?

I guess the mechanical volume knob works fine, also causes the display to appear

If I press and hold MAYBE the sound will go up only one notch, but sometimes it plays fine for a complete song and all the buttons work fine and when the song changes the fault comes up again...

Really wierd

Thnx for your reply!

Hi there. I had the same problem. I took my vehicle to the dealership and they discovered a loose contact behind the dashboard which they tightened right up. That should do the trick.

Same problem happened to me after 8 months. The dealership had to replace the whole electronic gadget . It seems a common problem (poor quality control). So far I had returned to the dealership twice for different problems, its just not good at all.
