Quick question: I have C1 and C1.5'd my Merc and greagt results so far. Its very self cleaning and deep shine. Do I IPA and then re-apply C1 in 6 months time (say post winter in April), or just keep using C1.5 every 2 or 3 months to keep up the hydroscopic properties?

Also: when I get my new RRE, I will probably have to wait about a month or so until I can get it sealed. So assume IPA, P1/P2, IPA then C1 with c1.5?

Many thanks in advance.

Hi BFGEvoqueMan
Hi just re apply c1.5 that's all you would need to do every couple of months!

7. P1 it wouldn't need to P2 as new car P2 for hologram removal
8. IPA wipe down each panel
9. Applied C1 foot square at a time and softly removed residue
10 . Following day applied 2 coats of C1.5
Job done !

Kev,

Many thanks for the prompt advice and many thanks for all who gave me the original advice. This GTechniq stuff really works (who cares what it costs).

It is expensive but depends what you want if you want a car with self cleaning capabilities then Exo is well worth it as Gtechniq are going to do a smaller can within a kit with a lower price infrared thermometer included and cloths to apply ! C1 is good but a can of Exo covers all paint, trim , wheels, windows and alot easier to apply than C1! Way to go in my opinion ! Prep is the most important !!

Just went to order some stuff direct from gTechniq and got a reply that they've had a fire (no one was hurt but a lot of damage it seems) and there is no stock currently, hopefully they will be back in 10days or so.
