WHAT A CAR...... - yupstr8up - 19-07-2012 03:32am

Sorry but i cant upload the photo's...dont know what the Url is they're asking for, anyway......... OMG!Bow down
Smooth handover (approx 2 hours), 2x bottles of wine and a picnic bag with wine glasses, mat and small table...very nice.
I went for an extensive drive last night and was amazed at how well she could whip around corners with no roll or loss of balance, pick up was impressive on the freeway (diesel).
Have to remember to turn off the stereo each time otherwise it runs for 10 minutes even though the car is 'off'. Felt like it just glided over road anomalies and there's plenty of those !Rolling Eyes and room....its about a foot shorter and lower than my Murano (well it feels like it) but i have soo much room in the garage on my side now...YAY It handles so much more accutley than the Nissan in general.
I'm still playing around with the 320 meridian, cant get it to sound as good as the last one yet (yes, i know some of you willl think i'm nuts!) but, i have a specific sound that i'm looking for but haven't found it yet.
It's true...i cant stop looking at it as i can see it outside the officeLaughing
Everyone....this is a great forum, its full of diversities that make it as awesome as it is.
I can only say 'Thankyou" to all that have taken the time to post after getting their cars, positive or negative are valuable to someone.
If i can work out the url thingy i will post some pics...... Enjoying all the little suprises that pop up everyday![/b]

Hi, congrats on your car. I'm in a very similar situation as you. Changing to an Evoque from a Murano. Just placed my order on the weekend for a November delivery.

Cant wait and enjoy

Yes you would think so eh? Apparantley, the electrics still run between 2-10 minutes after the car is shut down if anything is left on, least that's what 'he' told me. it's no biggy really except for the high consistant chime after you get out, having said that, the car is still waking up as such and i would imagine alot of the electrics will stabilise in time.....somebody slap me...i cant stop glaring at it outside my window at work...Rolling with Laughter

Glad you're pleased with the car!

Nope never had the radio stay on...?
(except on a manual drivetrain when the car auto stops the engine through the ECO start/stop, meaning you can forget to press the stop button, but when you get out it turns off)

Although the electrics may stay on for a number of minutes while fans and systems shutdown, the radio turns off with the start/stop button.

On mine (manual), the radio etc will turn off if you press the stop button a second time (feet off the pedals) or lock the car.

Glad your pleased.

On a previous post there was a guy who was a sound specialist and he recommended a layout of the sound system, quite different to how I would have set it up but after I followed his lead I have found it sounds amazing.

I will try and find the link

Very Happy
Found the link

If you do a search on the home page for "my sound adjustments" it details a nice post on optimum settings.

May not be to your personal taste but worked well with my simple ears

Hope this helps

Congrats yupste8up.....it's a GREAT feeling taking delivery of such a beautiful car. Can you tell us what model, colour, and spec you got? (A signature would be good) Did you get from Barbagallo's?

Hi Benzina and everyone on here.....
Damn, didn't my sig come up again.....Rolling Eyes Incase it doesn't again, its a Pure 5 door Fuji white SD4, Clearview and Teck pack, auto tailgate, street legal tint. 19" turned diamond wheels. Reversing camera, front and rear sensors.
Got it from Southern LR affiliated with Barbagallo's, i think.
IV'e had to burn a CD that's been equalised to gain the sound that i'm looking for...it seems to be lacking a rich deep sound in mid range with clarity from the treble...anyway i will look up a thread on here as suggested (thanks for that) I have the 380 meridian with 11 speakers.
