Roofbox / Accessories - paulelescoces - 19-01-2012 11:50am

Been into my dealer today as the salesman has changed, new guy seemed good and actually got me to rework my accessory list.... in addition to telling me the car was built and was on its way... good news overall..

on the topic of accessories:
- He managed to talk me out of the mud guards as he said it is for old men
- he suggested I change the ski and snowboard carrier for a roofbox as it has more carrying capacity and can also take the poles etc... interestingly he suggested not be buy from LR as the one they sold was too short (160 length and my skis are 174) and it was better to go staight to Thule.

question... anyone got a roofbox to recommend for the evoque?

Can't make my mind up on a roof box...when the Evoque is loaded up with two dogs and 2 kids, space is going to be very limited indeed, so I may have very little choice, but it seems such a shame to ruin the look of the Evoque when the looks are so important to this particular car.

I need to find either a very cool roof box (if such a thing exists) or an alternative solution! Keen to see any pictures anyone has of a roofbox fitted to their Evoque.

I have been looking around... the Thule excellence & dynamic look good asthetically, look to be quite aerodynamic, doubt I have here is more on the length (the excellence is 2.18m long... and the dynamic 800 2.06m).... unsure if this leaves too much overhang at the front when ensuring the back can still open.

This "old" man doesn't like the way the Evoque chucks up to dirt without them - it gets filthy.

Great thread im also considering the box from the lr line. Im gonna be carrying mostly luggages.

I was unsure about the "old comment" but he did say the mudguards ruined the standard lines.... I do however like what I have seen in the photos so have decided to wait until I see an example in the flesh before deciding either way.

Mud flap completes the car, imo! They look great and keep 95% dirt off from the sides.

Does somebody know what kind of roofbox will fit the Land Rover cross bars? will anything fit or does one have to use the Land Rover Roofbox?

Has anyone managed to install a Thule roof box on their Evoque?
