Anyone "upgraded" bulbs on a Pure (Halogens) - WB - 05-01-2012 02:56pm

I'm thinking about swapping the HB3 halogen bulbs to better match the LED DRLs and just wanted to ask if anyone had explored bulb options?

Not sure I want to go as far as HID. Looking around there is an Osram kit with whiter than standard bulbs which are road legal.

I take it your cars were ordered when the xenon option was removed from the pure range?

I have orderd a set of Ring Xenon Max bulbs from fleebay (just under £18 delivered) and will fit when I get my car in a couple of weeks time. I have the H7 type in my other car which also has projector style headlights and whilst not as bright as proper Xenon's are noticably nrighter than any other upgrade I have tried. In terms of longevity, they have done over a year in my other car, and the lights are set to be on constrantly.Very Happy

Halfords do legal xenon bulbs .Straight swap for halogen bulbs(about £50 a pair)I was going down that line but then ordered the xenons when they were put back on the list.

Did you manage to change your halogens, am highly dissappointed with them on my evoque.. wonder if can be changed to xenons.

I can 100% recommend these bulbs. That said I never drove in the dark with the original factory bulbs, but having just sold my last car with xenons I would say these bulbs are 90% there - for less than £20 you won't be disappointedThumbs UpThumbs Up
