Kerb Weight and other Specs - PaulC - 02-01-2011 11:05am

I have been trying to find the tech specs for the Evoque without success. Specifically kerb weight, dimentions etc.

Any ideas.

Hi, Paul
A search in google returned a page on Wiki. The dimensions stated are as follows:

Wheelbase 104.7 in (2659.4 mm)
Length 171.3 in (4351 mm)
Width 74.6 in (1894.8 mm)
Height 60.4 in (1534.2 mm)

If those dimensions are correct it would mean it's around 6 inches shorter, 1 inch narrower and 8 inches lower than the Freelander 2
I cannot say these are correct as anybody could've written it and not a lot of people have seen it apart from people at Land Rover. And other digging around keeps returning people saying the kerb weight is approx 1.5 tonnes. But again not sure how correct that is Thumbs Up

Thanks Royale. I too found some unofficial info but I didn't trust it.

I wondered if it might be a possible replacement for a FL2... probably not if the kerbweight is only 1.5T

Looks good tho and good green credentials too for a car of that size.

I'll keep looking.

It could be possible as the Kerb Weight of the FL2 is 1.7 nearly 1.8 tonnes so not far off. But I think it may have been announced by this time as there is a new Range Rover coming in 2012 which is to be the succesor of the Disco, but I may be wrong.
The green credentials are warming to me along with the lower price. But not really a good family car for me at the minute. May wait a few years to get one as going by the Range Rover depreciation It'll be much less in a couple of years (Not to scare you off)

I will keep my eyes peeled as I too am interested to find out Thumbs Up

Thanks Royale Thumbs Up

I need at least 1.7T as I tow a caravan and that is 1.5T. A car of just 1.5T wouldn't really be a suitable tow vehicle for me.

If I see anything official I shall post Wink

A FFRR would suit It perfectly. Once it's full of fuel, people and other extras it's reching 3 tonnes Laughing Thumbs Up

What's your current car?

Unfortunately the cost wouldn't suit me quite as much!

Yep, that's the downside, along with not being able to park anywhere.
Owned a x-trail for a year in 2002. Was a great little 4x4 for nipping around the parents farm. Then I discovered the world of Land Rover, which has cost me a bit more bob than I would of hoped for Laughing Thumbs Up

I think once you get the LR bug it is difficult to go back to anything else.
