Exhaust TD4 Range - EVOQ1 - 29-09-2011 05:40pm
Dear All,
just wondering if anyone can shed any light on the exhaust system on the TD4 as the configfurator on LR site clearly shoes 2 downpipes or exhausts, however my dealer states its one down pipe from the exhaust then leads to 2 pipes at rear !!!! im very confused as i have already ordered mt TD4 Auto and expect what i have seen on mags and official site, take a look at the pic below: TD4 Prestige
any comments ?

The front part of all of the diesel exhausts are the same. The only difference in models is tge rear cylinder depending on model. I can't look for it here as im typing from a phone but there is a thread something on the forum already where I added pictures.

The configurator is wrong, you will certainly get 1 pipe in a TD4.

As I have been informed by my dealer (who, indeed shouldn`t be trusted from time to time), only the SI4 will have 2 (working) exhaust pipes and all Dynamics (but only one pipe working)

i have spoken to LR and they have informed me that 2 pipes are on the TD4 however 1 pipe that leads to the 2 exhausts.

here is a picture of the listed exhausts, the top one in the first picture is a Dynamic diesel one. second down is a Prestige diesel and the bottom im not sure as i dont have a vin number for a pure yet to check. Though i assume is a pure or the 2wd version. Please dont jump down my thoaght is im wrong im guessing on the bottom one.
The second picture is a Petrol exhaust and is the only 1 listed but with 2 varients, the first is with round tail pipes and the second is with square tail pipes for the Dynamic.

In the Dynamic there are two (square) holes but only one is actually connected to a pipe.
In the Prestige / Pure there is one (round) hole and obviously one pipe.

well im confused LR confirmed when i called that its 2 holes (exhaust) but 1 pipe
