Also, did they bump up your build time then? BTW, I got a May build but expected deliver in Aug Sad

Topix shows a build date of March 26th, but I had radio silence from dealer since I signed the contract back in January until I dropped in yesterday, so I didn't have the opportunity to make any changes before the build cutoff.

http://www.2wglobal.com/www/wep/ shows it was loaded and departed as follows:

SOUTHAMPTON 31-03-2012 PORT KEMBLA 08-05-2012

so it looks like it was 5 days from build date to on the ship, and about 5 weeks til it gets here, I'm assuming 2-3 weeks from Port Kembla to dealer prepped and in my hands

Yes, apparently late May build (but they haven't given me a firm date yet). Which dealer did you go with?

Wow, that's a fast build time (only 5 days)! Hopefully I can expect the same timeframes. Would dearly love to get it before Aug.

Rex Gorell in Geelong - same guy as Def Leppard got hers through.

I am hoping to keep the mid/late July delivery window because a) I am impatient Laughing and b) I want to do a Tassie driving holiday in August.

a) I agree. I prefer to have the car now, lol
b) that would be an awesome drive! I want mine also so I can take it to the snow trips in Aug & Sept.

Can I ask what's the spec of your car?

Hopefully - I have never been to Tassie but I have heard that provided I stick to the east coast the rain isn't too bad in winter.

Which wheels are you getting? Keep in mind that anything other than 17's and you can't fit snow chains.

Edit - saw your signature with the model description. The snow chain thing may not bother you (you could just carry them with no intention of fitting them) but its something to keep in mind. In some states the "autosocks" may be legal as well, but I am not sure (they aren't in Victoria or Tassie).

Mine is a TD4 pure, 5 door, with the "usual options" (i.e. tech pack, pano roof, camera) plus some bigger wheels and the xenons.

Cool. I was planning to order the exact same car in the pure in Fuji White but had to settle on the Dynamic to take advantage of the Adaptive Dynamics.

ETA/delivery date, 25th July

TD4 Prestige, Baltic Blue, Vibe interior, 5 door
Panoramic roof, Adaptive Dynamics, Tech pack, surround camera

My car arrived at the 13th of April in the Port of Brisbane and is at the dealer as of today. Delivery is scheduled for next week Tuesday 24th of April. I can't wait. I have never been so excited for a car in my life Very Happy

Wow, the dealer promised me end of May build also but he hasn't given me a date yet. He said when they give him the allocation in May he will have a firm date. Is he telling the truth?

I'm hoping it will be the same timeframe as you so I can get in end of July too!

BTW

Congrats Maarten - Like you, my Evoque was on the Sapphire Queen. When you say delivery is 24/4 do you mean to the dealership or an actual handover. I contacted Austral and was told that over 40 Evoques arrived on that vessel and not to expect vehicle handover until closer to May.
