Agreed it is and I wouldnt have bothered if I had to pay out as it didnt affect any other part of the car.

Hi rom,
S/S is a waste of time in most cases, it is just a way of massaging emission figures for advertising.Evil

If you get fed up with S/S this is the easy way to sort it safely.

Thanks, it actually stopped working again, this time they fitted a new main battery and its been ok.
I'm not to bothered about it but as it was under warranty had it sorted.
If its annoying I just turn it off at the switch, not noticed any difference in saving fuel but at least I got a new battery.

Hi rom1,
When you consider that the Evoque came out in 2012 & JLR still have not managed to make a vehicle that will run the S/S & the air con at the same time it is quite sad. The charging system is not man enough to cope with this or short journeys but JLR could not give a damn. Shame on JLR.

I still like it though, I guess that is what JLR is counting on. BTW I read today that the fuel tank cover is prone to rusting & should be checked, although JLR is saying that it is NOT part of the 5 year warranty.

Happy day's.
