Evoque Map Update to 2016 maps - process - Condei - 01-04-2018 09:47am
1. The new maps (2017 version, but 2016 source structure) can be bought from HERE
This is the official version and for this, you get a USB stick + a serial (generated for your car VIN).
It's kind of expensive...
2. The alternative is to download the maps from the internet (21 Gb), put it on a 32 Gb (fat32 formatted stick) and buy from eBay the serial, for 100$.
I chose the second option and it worked.
Steps:
- put all the files on the root of the USB (no master folder)
- insert the USB stick into the USB port from the armrest
- start the car - access navigation menu. It will autodetect the new maps.
- the upgrade process will take ± 3 hours and the engine must be on, so be sure you have enough "juice".
- use the provided serial to start the process.
- wait for 3 hours
- stop the engine, close the car and wait for one minute (it will reset the Navigation computer)

Panic mode: Image before stopping the engine and closing the car
- start the car and check the new maps

Could I ask from Where You Downloaded the Maps from, Was it a Well-Known Torrent Site? Or from another Source?

So happy I choose WAZE as an alternative foor the RR Nav. Updates are more frequent and take a minute or less on my iPhone.
The RR Nav update procedure look like from the Dark Ages...

1. I've downloaded them from torrent
2. I've bought the code from eBay.
I also use Waze for short trips, but I hate that the app is 1-2 seconds behind and this is crucial on complex intersections.

Could you say what Search Terms you used? Have tried on one of the most popular Torrent Sites, but nothing comes up....
The Search Terms I’ve used included GEN2.1, Land Rover, Maps, Landrover, Navigation, 2017, But nothing seems to come up....?
