I made sure that I got an email from my dealer confirming LR would honour the agreed price and therefore protected from the price increase. Also received my order form which has been signed and it also confirms the price. I was told if I had ordered a week later than it would have cost me £750...............

Interesting how on the configurator it now says that the prices are purely informative & not contractual - does that mean they will change again?

Keeping their options open lol

Hi All,
spoke to dealer to day to find out where I stand wrt price rises, I ordered in March and paid deposit he said he would have to check with LR as he not aware of increase, he rang back and said that as deposit paid there would be no price increase on my vehicle or any orders with deposits taken before the 4th of May so if your thinking move fast. He did say also that be wary of changing any spec after that date as may be seen as a change in contract and the increase may be applied. Phew

Good point on the spec change. Thanks for adding this to the forum.

This will likely be an adjustment now they know exactly how much the Evoque costs to produce in mass units, and may be due to rising component prices.

Most likely due to simple supply and demand. If back-orders are 9-12 months, as I have read, LR has to increase the price in order to reduce volume and keep up with demand. A little extra profit would be in ordetr to second-source parts supplies as necessary too. No worries here. Got mine - headed back to San Diego today and looking forward to driving it tomorrow.

Stops you quoting the configurator price at them, and allows for mistakes on the website.

Recieved email from dealer today, I placed deposit on 31/3 this year, but final order not confirmed yet. But he confirmed that the price is protected from the rise since the deposit was paid. I'm happy now.
