RE: iPod Browse function not responding

I had some connectivity problems with various ipods (touch and original i-phone) that I had been trying to connect. In the end it seems to have come down to my cable. I have reverted to the standard Ipod cable rather than the "fatter" Ipod/IPad and synch cable which I had been using to charge my devices. It has done the trick and all the ipods now connect without any difficulty and all operate with the browse fucntion(for what it's worth!).

Just something worth checking?

You would have hoped so. It might very well have been a dodgy connection on an old cable but it worked, much to my surpise. I was in luck and had another newer style cable kicking around so it was an easy check to make.

RE: iPod Browse function not responding

As a follow-up to the original post, I found issues seemed to develop when the iPod needed charging.

RE: iPod Browse function not responding

Just had the same problem as OP with the browse button stopping working while iPod still playing and I'm driving. Thankfully it wasn't a long drive otherwise I'd have been a bit stuffed with choice of music.

I did try and disconnect and reconnect the iPod at some traffic lights but that didn't work. The only thing that fixed it was to stop the car, turn off the engine, get out, lock it, wait a short time, unlock car, get in, start engine - working again.

Seems much more likely to be a software issue with the car.

5dr Evoque Dynamic Si4, OG. I love her, mostly.
