iPhone Sat Nav Audio Issue

Not sure how this works, but someone else may have fixed this:

I have a sat nav on the phone but not in the Evoque; I have the iPhone paired with the car and it all works fine.

But...

I can't seem to get any spoken sat nav prompts out of the phone, once it pairs with the car - the sat nav works OK, the phone audio still works OK on calls, but no sat-nav audio - either out of the phone or as far as I can see, out of the car audio system.

Any clues? Anyone else come across this?

Did you check the audio option in your iPhone app.

Not sure if I get what you mean there, the phone is connected to the car via Bluetooth, at least for the phone part.

Is there something else I'm missing?

Yes you must choose the Bluetooth connection on your I phone on the Audio/ music settings.

OK. When the iPhone is actually streaming audio to the car, the iPhone satnav voice prompts come over OK - but only when streaming audio as well. If the car is tuned into either FM or DAB radio, nada.

I guess this is beyond the system's capabilities - unless anyone knows any different?

RE: iPhone Sat Nav Audio Issue

Maybe the sound of the sat nav indication is too short to wake up the Bluetooth.
I have this issue with a Bluetooth motocyle helmet.
