Point taken. The ones that I did were all done on a two post hoist with all wheels off the ground.

No matter what I do, I can not get the car into brake pads service mode. Is there any other trick to this or has anyone that's had difficulty getting it to behave found a work around?

Listen you lot just done rear pads on evoque 1 put brakes in service mode
2 remove pads 13mm/ 16mm spanner
3remove brake fluid top
4 push piston back 5 fit new pads
6 refit caliper
7 refit brake fluid top
8 take brakes out off service mode
Road test easy job. Done
