RE: Wifey dream car!! Bought our MY15 2 weeks ago!

Just out of curiosity, are the step bars helpful? I haven't received my Evoque Coupe yet, but it appears that the RRE is low enough to not need them. I have them on my '08 Toyota Tacoma and they're useful on it, and I'd consider them on the RRE if they're actually useful, and not just for the looks. If not, then I'd personally decide against them.

Installed by myself glossy black rail roof, step bars, leds rear lights.

Also out of curiosity, were the roof rails pricey?

Does the seat leather look a little "baggy"? I had a problem with mine and they had to get a upholsterer in to iron it out.

I agree...they don't look like the original seats.

I've got steps on my D4 and they're useful. Agree that access to the Evoque is less of an issue (try climbing into a D4 after a hard session at the gym), but the steps do help stop arseholes hanging your car door with theirs. I've heard a few whacks on the steps when I've been parked up, but the doors have been safe.

I was trying to locate it but couldn't, saw someone post a pic of an RRE that had steps, but weren't really steps. It didn't appear as though you could actually step on them. They seemed to be just under the door, and was meant for protecting the under sill part, like from bottoming out. Seemed like a good idea, except for one thing that I thought about which may or may not be an issue. Doesn't putting any kind of step or rail underneath reduce the already fairly low ground clearance?

If I come across the pic I'll post it.

This isn't the exact one I was referring to, but it's very similar if not identical. Actually looks really nice, especially if they're available in black. Another thing is I really love that roof rack setup. Really considering one similar or identical now.
