I think my gearbox is developing a fault

Normally in a manual gearbox the lever rests in the 3-4 plane and there is spring resistance to push it to the 1-2 or 5-6 plane. I have this resistance normally but increasingly of late when coming out of 5th or 6th the lever does not spring back the the 3-4 plane and I have to push it.
Is anybody else experiencing this ?

I have also found my gearbox doing this over the last couple of weeks, just hit 4000 miles

Haven't noticed it on mine, but will check tonight. 5000+miles, It's likely this is an adjustable item so might be worth checking with your dealer.

I checked and mines sprung loaded to the centre from both sides, so always returns to 3rd/4th centre position when in neutral.
