RE: Where can I see the Evoque?

Your best bet if you want to see one before May at the "London Event" is do a factory tour - but check that they are building some the day you want to go.

Re the boot size - how much space do you need? It will hold a medium sized dog if that helps. The Evoque is smaller than a Freelander - its more like a 5 door Audi TT on stilts. Remember its shorter than a new Focus.

Autocar reckons a couple of sets of golf clubs will be no problem.........

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

For a vehicle that is only 4.3m in length I think 550/575 litres (seats up) is a huge amount. A Jetta, which is about a foot longer, has about the same capacity, IIRC. A Golf, about 6" shorter, has around 350L.

I think these measurements must refer to a full boot i.e. up to the roof. But having said that the boot is bigger than you would expect due to the sides being so high because the waist of the car rises so much.

RE: Where can I see the Evoque?

Looking at photos in Autocar September 2010 Issue show the boot to be quite big in relation to the size of the car and how large the boot is with the rear seats in use is one of the things that several of the car mags have commented on

RE: Where can I see the Evoque?

Having seen the Evoque at a car show, I didn't think the boot was large. Compared to my Lexus IS, which doesn't have a spectacular boot either, especially the depth was slightly disappointing, but the height makes up for part of that. I think you can manage for daily use without problems. Going on vacation with two kids and luggage will be another story.

RE: Where can I see the Evoque?

From the rough measurements I made at the motorshow I reckon the boot capacity to the top of the seats is approx 435 ltrs - 450 ltrs

Time to get the big sheet of cardboard and the Stanley tape measure out and make a "Blue Peter" mock-up!

For comparison the Freelander2's boot dimensions are

RE: Where can I see the Evoque?

Note that they choose not to mention the depth/length with the seats up, which I thought was the biggest let-down.
From what I saw I'm guessing it's around 700mm.
