RE: Vehicle Handover

Whats this "Trip Advisor". Very Happy

Going back to the PDI form, it only said check car is clean.
Do they not wash/wax your new car ?
If my car was lines left on it where all the plastic film was. Will not be happy.

I think you will find 99.9999999999% of dealers would give it a wash before delivery, even a full valet. I believe they don't wash Orkney Grey because it doesn't show the dirt so much as the other colours, so no need to waste manpower with a valet, just a quick hosing off is OK for them................Wink

A Pangea Green New Defender 110 First Edition is now sitting on my drive alongside British Racing Green Electric Mini Cooper SE Level 3. After 21 years in my hands my TDI300 90 was handed on to the next custodian on 15 July 2022.

My vehicle handover was very quick - the salesman just went through the switches.

Was very interesting when he turned on the stereo and a CD started playing. He pressed eject and out popped a CD...

Mine had been washed very badly with greasy smears all over the windscreen and mirrors. I washed it myself the following day.

What CD was it? How strange! Not so good having to wash your own car, I thought it would have been gleaming ready for you!

REJECTED car 9th Jan 12 - paint runs down doors & seals one side, obvious bad re-spray before delivery! Big Cry

Tekno - honest question - do you think you may have had less technical issues (satnav, etc) if LR had done their job properly and actually taken you through the gadgets thoroughly, over a longer handover time?

Arrived (5/11/11): SD4 5-door "Presnamic" Lux Very Happy Auto, Fuji, Spirit/Tan, Style 8 20" Wheels, fully loaded (bar RSE, smoker's pack and Homelink)

Not at all - I have the owner's handbook after all. My issues are with the car, not my ability to use the car.

My keyless locking is not working. I step out of the car with key in the pocket and touch the sensor on the handle and no lock. Only way to lock is to hit the lock button on the fob? Is ther somethig im doing wrong? I did this in my undies to insure no metal interference and still no go. Doesnt work on both keys.

RE: Vehicle Handover

Sounds like a problem to me especially since both keys are affected.
