Swap steering wheel paddles from auto to "manual" steering wheel?

I'm looking to buy a new steering wheel, but it is from a manual Evoque, so without the paddles. Can I swap the paddles from my old auto steering wheel to the manual oneQuestion

Whats wrong with your wheel?
For what it's worth, I really wouldn't try a conversion ... you'll likely be missing the physical mounts on the wheel frame, it'll need holes cut in the plastic for the paddles to come through, and would probably need a new slip ring to cater for the signals etc.

Ordered: Fuji Dynamic Lux Coupe / style 7 wheels / Privacy glass / adaptive xenons / something else which I've forgotton.
Should be end of April (was March, then April, then end of May/June).

Nothing is actually wrong with the wheel. It's just one of the very first wheels, the ones with the perforated leather and slightly larger diameter. New one is like almost all the newer wheels with smooth leather and slightly smaller diameter.
I like the newer type better. That's why I want to swap

ah, ok - well, personally I'd just look out for a paddle wheel so it's a straight swap Smile

I'd think not. Ive not seen a back of a manual evoque wheel but all other cars have cut outs specifically for the paddles. You could ask for a pictures of the back from the seller. It would be obvious if cut outs are present. Just find a auto one. I sold one a 2014 one a while ago. They dont go for not a lot of money. What year are you wanting to fit??

Trying to fit it to a 2012 model. eBay auction is over anyway and I need a heated version.

There are a few on ebay for £150 - but you'll need to buy a new slip-ring for the rear as the standard one doesn't carry the heater wires through it.

Surely the slip ring would be transferable?

OP- what year wheel are you fitting? When I sold mine they weren't moving and i sold it for £85.

The heated wheel slip ring is different from standard - so it depends if the OP already has a heated wheel and just wants a different one.

I already have heated steering wheel. Like I said I want to change for non perforated one. As far as I know, the early versions had the perforated one and everything after that the smooth leatherand smaller non perforated version.
